I Can't Breathe

As my heart breaks again, I hear the words “injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere” even louder than before.  

While I hate that this has happened, I love the social consciousness and activism that it has provoked; namely, marches, protests, die-ins, social media conversations and even these NBA players wearing ‘I can’t breathe’ shirts during pre-game warm-ups. More and more individuals are joining the chorus of change in a myriad of ways. 

Hopefully, our collective actions will usher in a new era. The struggle continues ... #blacklivesmatter
